Soccer Game Preview: Wheeler County vs. Treutlen

The Wheeler County Bulldogs will challenge the Treutlen Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Treutlen took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Wheeler County, who comes in off a win.

Wheeler County is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They had just enough and edged out Hawkinsville 5-4 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Treutlen was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to Dooly County. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Bobcats are ranked 102nd).

Treutlen's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Wheeler County, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Wheeler County took their victory against Treutlen when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0. Will Wheeler County repeat their success, or does Treutlen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
