Softball Preview: Nichols Vikings vs. Mount Mercy Academy Magic        
        
		
            The Nichols Vikings will head out to  challenge the Mount Mercy Academy Magic  at 5:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Nichols has given up an average of 9  runs per game this season, but Wednesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Those  four  RBI gave  Coughlin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Natalie McOwen, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double.
 Mount Mercy Academy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .395. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .308 or higher in four consecutive  games.
 Mount Mercy Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Nichols, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
 Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging  on Wednesday. Nichols hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season,  having  averaged 0.6  home runs per game. However, it's not like Mount Mercy Academy struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 0.9  home runs.
