Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Yuma Catholic couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to the Florence Gophers on Saturday. The Shamrocks' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

While Yuma Catholic had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-19.

Yuma Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 32-5. As for Florence, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-11 record this season.
