Basketball Recap: Tahoka Triumphs

Tahoka lost to Wellington back in March of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Tahoka Bulldogs pulled ahead with a 37-36 photo finish over the Wellington Skyrockets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Sacha Loi was the offensive standout of the matchup as he dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brogan Stone, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Tahoka smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Tahoka's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Wellington, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Tahoka won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Jayton at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday. As for Wellington, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 41-34 defeat against Valley on the 27th.
