Recap: North Florida Christian Eagles vs. Godby Cougars
The North Florida Christian Eagles were the 55-40 winner over the Godby Cougars when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. North Florida Christian had to suffer through a rough 61-24 loss at the hands of Godby. While losing is never fun, North Florida Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while Godby is ranked 150th).
Godby got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cristina Brown out in front who scored 9 points along with 13 rebounds and 7 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mar?nazha Houston, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
North Florida Christian now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Godby, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
North Florida Christian will look to defend their home court on Monday against Munroe at 6:00 p.m. As for Godby, they will head out on the road to face off against St. John Paul II at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
