Football Recap: Phillips Takes Down Ranked Athens

Phillips faced Athens in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Loggers walked away with a 52-40 win over the Bluejays. The Loggers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bluejays, too.

Phillips now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Athens, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Phillips is set to square off against their familiar foe Hurley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Athens will take on rival Rib Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
