Volleyball Recap: Avon Orioles vs. Franklin Central Flashes
Avon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Franklin Central Flashes. If the Orioles were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Flashes when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
While Avon was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Franklin Central's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-8, 25-10.
Ethan Kondas paced Avon's offense, picking up two kills. Kondas got some help from Cameron James and his five assists. Finally, Levi Reymann kept Avon's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
