Baseball Recap: Polytechnic Comes Up Short

Chadwick hit Polytechnic with a four-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell just short of the Dolphins by a score of 7-6. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dolphins earlier this season, when they won 10-4.

Mark Hiddleson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Noah LaPorte was another key player, getting three hits from his three at bats.

This is the second loss in a row for Polytechnic and nudges their season record down to 10-14. As for Chadwick, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-10.

Coming up, Polytechnic will head out on the road to square off against Hoover at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tornados will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. Chadwick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
