Basketball Recap: Philip Simmons Piles Up the Points Against Northwood Academy

Philip Simmons won the last time they faced Northwood Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Philip Simmons Iron Horses claimed a resounding 60-26 win over the Northwood Academy Chargers. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for the Iron Horses this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Philip Simmons to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hudson Hatch, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Darby, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Philip Simmons was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northwood Academy only posted seven assists.

Philip Simmons' victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Northwood Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Philip Simmons didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-38 loss against T.L. Hanna on the 27th. As for Northwood Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-47 defeat against Northside Christian Academy on the 21st.
