Basketball Recap: Knox County Comes Up Short

Knox County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 56-43 to the Heartland Christian Academy Eagles.

Heartland Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rylee Kiser led the charge by putting up 18 points. The match was Kiser's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydn Aldridge, who posted 13 points.

Knox County's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Heartland Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Knox County will head out to square off against Westran at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Heartland Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on North County Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
