Shields came up big in Southern Aroostook's 13-12 victory
While Tuesday's win was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Brooke Shields. Central Aroostook had no answer to Shields on Tuesday as she struck out 14 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk).
Shields and Southern Aroostook will head out on the road to square off against Hodgdon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
