Basketball Recap: Tucker County Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Tucker County extended their road winning streak to five games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Garrett Wilfong. The Tucker County Mountain Lions came out on top against the Pendleton County Wildcat by a score of 71-62 on Wednesday thanks in part to Wilfong, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Tucker County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pendleton County, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Tucker County will host Tygarts Valley at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Tygarts Valley will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Tucker County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pendleton County, they are taking a road trip to face off against Parkersburg Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pendleton County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
