If Stamford was feeling good fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Darien last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Black Knights lost 9-2 to the Ridgefield Tigers on Monday. The Black Knights' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Stamford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Benny Degrutolla, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Stamford's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Ridgefield, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Stamford will face off against Danbury at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ridgefield, they will square off against Norwalk at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
