East Union came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Mountain House Mustangs with a sharp 11-5 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-4 last Monday.

Blake Mount made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because East Union is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 8-9 otherwise. Mount was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Kirk Simoni was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Joe Alvarez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

East Union's record is now 12-9. As for Mountain House, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14-1.

East Union will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
