Basketball Recap: Blue Earth Takes a Loss

Blue Earth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the St. James Saints 74-31. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Saints are ranked 136th).

Blue Earth's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for St. James, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blue Earth will challenge Fairmont at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fairmont's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for St. James, they will face off against Windom at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
