Recap: Metropolitan Learning Center Dragons vs. University Hawks
This season hasn't been kind to the Metropolitan Learning Center Dragons, who are still winless after their fourth match. They took a 50-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of University on Tuesday. Metropolitan Learning Center was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as University apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Leading University to victory were Kevin Murray Jr and Malik Rich. Murray Jr scored six points along with 13 rebounds and four blocks, while Rich scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The game was Rich's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ka'Ron Wright, who scored four points along with five assists and three steals.
Metropolitan Learning Center's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for University, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Metropolitan Learning Center will be playing at home against University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully University focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday. As for they, they will head out on the road to face off against Metropolitan Learning Center at 6:00 p.m.
