While Olympia's win against Normal West wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 3-2 on Friday. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Olympia's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Normal West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olympia will head out to square off against Normal University at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Normal West, they will venture away from home to challenge Normal Community at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ironmen will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
