Basketball Recap: Bethesda Christian Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Bethesda Christian Patriots came up short against the Martinsville Artesians and fell 56-48. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Martinsville was led to victory by Zhane Capshaw and Grady Gardner. Capshaw went 11 for 14 on his way to 25 points and five rebounds, while Gardner posted 18 points and three steals. Gardner's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Stroud, who had six points and five rebounds.

Bethesda Christian's record is now 3-5. As for Martinsville, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-5.

Bethesda Christian will welcome University at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Bethesda Christian is facing University at the right time seeing as University is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Martinsville, they will head out on the road to take on Seymour at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
