Basketball Recap: Trinity School of Texas Comes Up Short

Trinity School of Texas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 36-21 to the Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 31-29 on January 7th.

It was another big night for Kiley Normandin, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 20 rebounds, and 20 blocks for Athens Christian Preparatory Academy. Normandin is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Charlotte Normandin was another key player, putting up five points.

Trinity School of Texas' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Athens Christian Preparatory Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity School of Texas will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Mary's at 5:30 p.m. on February 4th. As for Athens Christian Preparatory Academy, they will take on Providence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Athens Christian Preparatory Academy: 27.8, Providence Academy: 21.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
