Softball Recap: Harrold Victorious

Harrold was handed a 12-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Northside Indians 32-30. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Indians last Tuesday, they had to take a 25-24 loss.

Zaylee C was incredible, firing off two home runs, eight RBI, and five runs while getting on base in six of her seven plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in stolen bases (two). Elizabeth P was another key player, going 3-for-5 with five runs, four RBI, and one double.

Harrold kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 25 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Harrold's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-8. As for Northside, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Harrold has already played their next matchup, a 23-10 loss against Knox City on the 30th. As for Northside, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-23 victory against Munday on the 30th.
