Baseball Recap: Sutter Victorious

Sutter posted their closest victory since March 18th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Rio Linda Knights. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Huskies as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Sutter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonny Munger, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Sutter hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rio Linda struck out seven times.

Sutter's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Rio Linda, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 11-5 record.

Sutter will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
