Volleyball Recap: Eldorado Takes a Loss

After flying high against Rancho last Monday, Eldorado came back down to earth. The Firehawks came up short against the Basic Wolves on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Firehawks have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 25-16.

Gabriel Lacaran paced Eldorado's offense, picking up 13 kills. Lacaran got some help from Crew Howard and his 23 assists. Finally, Howard was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Eldorado's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Basic, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-8.

Coincidentally, Eldorado and Basic will both be playing Somerset Sky Pointe the next time they take the court. The Firehawks will head out to face the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wolves will host them at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st.
