Recap: East Side Red Raiders vs. Central Blue Devils
The East Side Red Raiders lost against the Central Blue Devils back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. East Side fell 55-43 to the Blue Devils. East Side has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Central to victory were Malachi Thomas and Mejwad Dixon. Thomas dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Dixon scored 18 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Malik Bass, who scored ten points along with two steals.
East Side's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
East Side will be staying on the road on Sunday to face off against the at 5:30 p.m. on February 4th. As for Central, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. East Orange Campus presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Blue Devils in New Jersey (the Jaguars are ranked 12th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 212th).
