Soccer Recap: Saint Francis Has No Trouble Against Homestead

On WednesdayHomestead kept up with Saint Francis until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Saint Francis Lancers blew past the Homestead Mustangs 5-1. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lancers needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

They hit Homestead with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Andrew Huber (2), Robert Cervasco, Michael Scavotto, and Mateo Agan.

The victory got Saint Francis back to even at 1-1. As for Homestead, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-2.

Saint Francis is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will square off against Westmont at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Homestead, they will be taking part in a tournament against St. Ignatius College Preparatory at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
