Basketball Recap: Falkner Drops Season-High Score on Jumpertown

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Falkner). They managed a 67-63 win over the Jumpertown Cardinals on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-43 back in November.

Falkner was led to victory by Elijah Mauney and Chris Nunley. Mauney almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards, while Nunley went 8 of 10from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points. The match was Mauney's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Falkner has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Jumpertown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Falkner will take on Ashland at 7:31 p.m. on Friday. Falkner is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.5 points per game this season. As for Jumpertown, they will challenge Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
