Volleyball Recap: Hinsdale Central Takes a Loss

Hinsdale Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Glenbard West Hilltoppers. If the Red Devils were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Hilltoppers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Glenbard West scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17.

Bjorn Vinje paced Hinsdale Central's offense, picking up six kills. Vinje got some help from Harry Hughes and his 19 assists.

Hinsdale Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Glenbard West, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Hinsdale Central has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Hinsdale South on the 8th. As for Glenbard West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Downers Grove South on the 8th.
