St. Anthony is on a 23-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while La Salle Academy is on a 13-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Friars will host the Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (St. Anthony's 1.3, La Salle Academy 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
St. Anthony's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Morris Catholic. The Friars haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
The result came thanks to Melissa Gordon's shutout, as she gave up just three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
