Volleyball Recap: Larned Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Larned can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hoisington Cardinals on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss on October 2nd.

Larned has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-24 record this season. As for Hoisington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 23 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-4 record this season.

Larned wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Beloit on the 20th. As for Hoisington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Colby on the 20th.
