Volleyball Recap: Century Comes Up Short

Century lost against Hillcrest back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Diamondbacks lost 3-0 to the Knights. The Diamondbacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-19, 25-18.

Hillcrest had a senior duo take command as Natalie Petty had 19 assists and eight digs and Ali Maddux had 17 digs and five assists. Maddux is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Century's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Hillcrest, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Coincidentally, Century and Hillcrest will both be playing Centennial the next time they take the court. The Diamondbacks will head out to face the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
