            Football Preview: Brawley Wildcats vs. Holtville Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            The Brawley Wildcats will venture away from home to  face off against the Holtville Vikings  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Last Friday, Brawley was able to grind out a solid  victory over University City, taking the game  14-7. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Wildcats.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to  Adrian Zamora and  Aiden Arriquive. Zamora rushed for 100 yards and one  score while  Arriquive rushed for 51 yards and one  TD.
 Brawley's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB  ten times. The heavy lifting was done by  Joaquin Lofton and  Ryan Rebollar, who racked up  six sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Holtville gave up the first  points on Friday,  but they didn't give up any more after. They managed  a  32-27 win over Central. Holtville's victory was all the more impressive since the Spartans were averaging only 14.75 points allowed on the season.
Brawley better keep an eye on  Enrique Armas. He was instrumental in Holtville's win, rushing for 340 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Those  340  rushing yards gave  Armas a new career-high.
 Holtville was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 346  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 176  rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
 Brawley's record now sits at 2-5. As for Holtville, their record is now 6-1.
 Brawley won a  contest that couldn't have been any closer  in their previous matchup  back in March of 2021, slipping by Holtville 23-22. Will the Wildcats repeat their success,  or do  the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
