Baseball Recap: Barker Takes a Loss

Barker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to the Akron Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Barker saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Sandolfini, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Sandolfini's first of the season.

Barker's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

While they had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
