The Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the West Perry Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greencastle-Antrim is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Greencastle-Antrim is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 21 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Northern York on Monday. They fell just short of the Polar Bears by a score of 2-1. The Blue Devils' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jaxson Bostick was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Greencastle-Antrim saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cam Rakaczewski, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Rakaczewski's first of the season.

Meanwhile, West Perry didn't have quite enough to beat Waynesboro on Monday and fell 7-6.

Greencastle-Antrim's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for West Perry, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

Greencastle-Antrim took their win against West Perry when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
