Basketball Recap: Rising Sun Comes Up Short

Rising Sun lost against Fallston back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rising Sun Tigers took a 39-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fallston Cougars.

Natalie Wirth was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on ten points and 20 rebounds for Fallston. Those 20 boards gave Wirth a new career-high. Maura Lawall was another key player, putting up two points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Rising Sun's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Fallston, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Rising Sun has already played their next contest (against Bel Air), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Fallston, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-28 win against Edgewood on the 31st.
