Volleyball Recap: Clarkton Comes Up Short

Clarkton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Bloomfield Wildcats. The Reindeer were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Clarkton couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 27-25, 26-24.

Their offense was headlined by Peyton Bevill and Lyla Hernandez, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Arissa Vincent and her 18 assists. Tabitha Rivera controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Clarkton's loss dropped their record down to 7-22-1. As for Bloomfield, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 4-13.

Clarkton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against North Pemiscot on the 13th. Hopefully Bloomfield paid attention to the Reindeer's matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Reindeer at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st.
