Softball Preview: Kennebunk Rams vs. Scarborough Red Storm
The Kennebunk Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Scarborough Red Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
On Monday, Kennebunk came up short against South Portland and fell 7-2.
Meanwhile, in what's become a running theme this season, Scarborough gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 16-1 margin over Sanford. The victory was familiar territory for Scarborough who now have three in a row.
Meghan Robinson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Cote, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Kennebunk dropped their record down to 8-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Scarborough, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Kennebunk skirted past Scarborough 4-3 in their previous matchup back in June of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kennebunk since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
