Baseball Game Preview: Jefferson Dragons vs. Leto Falcons

Jefferson has gone 7-2 against Leto recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Dragons will take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Jefferson will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Jefferson gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against King by a score of 9-5.

Ja'Marques Benton was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Kaleb Cherry was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Leto fell victim to Bloomingdale and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Leto, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Jefferson took their victory against Leto in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 7-1 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
