Baseball Recap: Franklin County Falls Short of Batesville in the Playoffs

Franklin County and Batesville squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Franklin County had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 11-1. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Franklin County and nudges their season record down to 9-14. As for Batesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Franklin County nor Batesville have any future games scheduled.
