Football Recap: Centaurus Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Centaurus finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were dealt a 41-7 loss at the hands of the Monarch Coyotes. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Coyotes recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Carson Thomas threw for 133 yards and one TD. Brandon Polder was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards and one score.

Malakhi Payne had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 215 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per carry for Monarch. With that strong performance, Payne is now averaging an impressive 106.5 rushing yards per game.

Centaurus' defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Monarch, their record is now an identical 3-1.

Coming up, Centaurus will face off against Mountain Range at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Monarch, they will challenge Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
