Volleyball Recap: Summit Christian Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Rilyn Richards-Hamburg and Charlee Pollard

Summit Christian Academy was the 2-0 winner over Chrisman when they last played one another back in September of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Summit Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Charlee Pollard, who had 15 kills and six digs, and Rilyn Richards-Hamburg, who had 21 assists and six digs. Pollard has been hot recently, having posted seven or more kills the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlynn Brown, who had nine digs and five assists.

Summit Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9-2 record this season. As for Chrisman, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-13-1.

Summit Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Pembroke Hill on the 30th. As for Chrisman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Oak Park on the 27th.
