Soccer Game Preview: North Central Texas Academy vs. Polytechnic

The North Central Texas Academy Pioneers are taking a road trip to take on the Polytechnic Parrots at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. North Central Texas Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

Polytechnic better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when North Central Texas Academy really get things going. North Central Texas Academy was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Benbrook back in December of 2024. Give the Pioneers' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Polytechnic's offense. 2025 welcomed they with a 4-0 loss courtesy of Chisholm Trail on Saturday. The Parrots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Central Texas Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Polytechnic, they now have a losing record at 1-2-1.

North Central Texas Academy took their victory against Polytechnic when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 7-2. Will North Central Texas Academy repeat their success, or does Polytechnic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
