Basketball Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short

St. Francis lost against Dighton back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The St. Francis Indians came up short against the Dighton Hornets, falling 51-28. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.

When it comes to explaining why St. Francis lost, don't look at Delaney Myers. Despite the final result, she went 6 of 10 on her way to 16 points and four steals. Myers has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

St. Francis dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Dighton, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-5.

St. Francis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-33 defeat against Wallace County on the 21st. Dighton has also already played their next game, a 44-41 loss against Quinter on the 21st.
