Basketball Recap: Buckhorn Comes Up Short

Buckhorn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 86-46 loss at the hands of the Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs are ranked ninth).

Buckhorn's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Hazard, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Buckhorn Wildcats duke it out with the Cordia Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Hazard, they will face off against Letcher County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
