Basketball Recap: West Point-Beemer Cadets vs. Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers
The West Point-Beemer Cadets entered their tilt with the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. West Point-Beemer came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 54-41 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Point-Beemer also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
West Point-Beemer's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Toelle led the charge by scoring 15 points along with two steals and two blocks. Toelle is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. Campbell Snodgrass was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Bancroft-Rosalie lost, one person who can't be blamed is Samryn Dick. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points along with two steals. Dick hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Makenna James, who scored six points along with three steals.
West Point-Beemer has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.
West Point-Beemer will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Pendragons at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Pender will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, they will take on the Tigers at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (North Bend Central is ranked 56th, while the Panthers are ranked 77th).
