Basketball Game Preview: Lenoir City Panthers vs. Christian Academy of Knoxville Warriors

The Lenoir City Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Christian Academy of Knoxville Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Thursday, Lenoir City earned a 55-42 victory over Carter. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Green Hornets are ranked 246th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Christian Academy of Knoxville strolled past Providence Academy with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 59-43.

Christian Academy of Knoxville is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points per game. As for Lenoir City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

Lenoir City came up short against Christian Academy of Knoxville in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 45-32. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Christian Academy of Knoxville's Maddie Braden, who went 8 for 15 en route to 18 points and six steals.
