Soccer Recap: Countryside Comes Up Short

Countryside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Osceola Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Warriors are ranked 123rd).

Countryside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Osceola, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Countryside will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Largo at 6:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025. After both having extra time off, Osceola and Boca Ciega will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
