Recap: South Windsor Bobcats vs. Enfield Eagles

The South Windsor Bobcats won against the Enfield Eagles last Friday with 28 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. South Windsor came out on top against Enfield by a score of 28-21. Winning may never get old, but South Windsor sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

South Windsor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mitch Chaves led the charge by throwing for 198 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Sherwood, who gained 110 total yards and two touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Enfield still got an impressive performance from Zach Bonini, who rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Bonini has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played.

South Windsor's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.2 points per game. As for Enfield, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Windsor will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Maloney at 6:30 p.m. on November 28th. As for Enfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Manchester at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Manchester knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Enfield likes a good challenge.
