Football Recap: Cherokee Trail Takes Down Ranked Grandview + How To Watch

Cherokee Trail faced Grandview in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cougars walked away with a 14-7 victory over the Wolves. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 14-13 win the Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Logan Posey had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 129 yards and one touchdown.

Cherokee Trail didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kaeden Shriver and Chris Smith. Shriver is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Cherokee Trail's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Grandview, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4.

Coming up, Cherokee Trail will welcome Arapahoe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grandview, they will venture away from home to take on Eaglecrest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raptors' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Wolves' offense will have their work cut out for them.
