            Baseball Recap: Evansville Reitz Panthers vs. Evansville Central Bears        
        
		
        
        
            Evansville Reitz had lost three straight on the road, but  on Monday they dropped their record down to 9-17 to make it four. They lost  10-1 to the Evansville Central Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  5-1  on May 10th.
 Evansville Reitz saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Keegan Cape, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base.
As for Evansville Central,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 8-17. Ten seems to be a good number for they as the  team scooped up a  victory with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
 On Evansville Central's side,  Devon DeJarnette was a standout: he got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI. DeJarnette has become a key player for the Bears: the team is 4-1 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 4-16 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Owen Schoenhals, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI and one  run.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Evansville Reitz is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Evansville Harrison  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Evansville Central will  take on  rival Evansville Bosse  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
