Volleyball Recap: East Union Extends Winning Streak to Four

East Union had won three straight games and Caroline Sherwood did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Urchins came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles for which the team can thank Sherwood, who had 37 digs and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was East Union who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 23-25, 25-15, 23-25, 15-9.

East Union's victory bumped their record up to 28-4. As for Tupelo Christian Prep, their loss ended a seven-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, East Union and Water Valley will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tupelo Christian Prep has already played their next matchup (against Biggersville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
