Lowell dropped their record down to 19-8-1 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Wayland Wildcats by a score of 11-10. The Red Arrows were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 12-2.

Mason Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Owen Kreps, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

As for Wayland, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-14. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the game before.

On Wayland's side, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Ritsma, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits Ritsma has posted since back in March. Logan Byrne was another, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Coming up, Lowell will welcome Greenville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wayland, they will square off against West Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
